The Tagelus sand pool filter's patented process creates a one-piece fiberglass reinforced tank with unequaled strength and durability. Tagelus pool filters are equipped with a six-position, clamp style, top-mounted valve.
• Special internal design keeps sand bed level for optimum filtering
• 6-position valve with built-in pressure gauge, manual air relief valve and sight glass for fast inspection and easy maintenance
• Time-proven design assures trouble-free performance and long life
To clean a pool filter that uses sand as a filter medium, reverse the flow of water by turning your regulator valve at the top of the tank to backwash. The backwash cycle should last until water passing through the sight glass looks clean. Then turn the valve to the rinse position and run this cycle for at least 30 seconds. When the filter is very dirty, you may need to repeat this process two or three times. Never turn the valve while the pump is running.
